Foods That Will Boost Your Mood
Now that the days are growing dark sooner and skies are turning grey from the cold weather, it’s easy for your mood to tank. That’s why you need to make sure you’re eating a healthy diet and doing things that will keep your spirits up.
These are a few foods you can add into your diet to boost your mood:
These fruits are full of healthy fats and pack a mood-boosting punch. They are high in vitamin B5 which helps improve your mood. Add a few slices to your salads, smoothies, or salsa.
2. Dark Chocolate
Chocolate lover’s rejoice! Cocoa powder is full of antioxidants and can help pick you up when you feel gloomy. Just make sure you are eating at least 70% cacao. The darker the chocolate, the better it is for you. It’s got a higher concentration of antioxidants plus it is made with less sugar.
Kelp may not be your first go to when thinking of delicious foods to enjoy, but it contains iodine, which is essential for healthy thyroid function. When your thyroid is working properly, it helps your energy levels and keeps you feeling good.
This fish is full of Omega-3 Fatty acids as well as vitamin D. Both of these nutrients can help you feel Happy.
These are a few of the things you can add into your diet to keep your spirits uplifted. Also, make sure you’re getting enough exercise each week and go outside during the daylight hours.
