Boost Your Immune System With These Foods
With the cold weather ramping up, many people are looking for ways to boost their immunities. You can’t help but come into contact with others that are sick, so the best thing you can do for yourself is to boost your immune system
Here are a few foods that you can incorporate into your diet starting today:
1. Citrus Fruits
Increase your vitamin C through a variety of citrus fruits. This can include grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, limes, lemons, and clementines. Since your body doesn’t produce or store this vitamin, you’ll need to eat it regularly.
On a side note, if your stomach can’t handle that much acid, you can eat spinach for vitamin C.
2. Ginger
Many people will drink ginger tea or gingerale to help with an upset stomach. Besides reducing nausea, it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that will help support a healthy immune system.
3. Turmeric
Another great thing to incorporate into your cooking is turmeric. It is also a spice that has anti-inflammatory properties as well as antioxidants that will boost your immunities. Also, it’s used to improve depression symptoms.
4. Green Tea
Green tea is full of antioxidants. In fact, it has the highest concentration of Polyphenols compared to other teas. To get the full effect of the tea, make sure it steeps for a full 3 minutes. Enjoy it hot or cold.
